The Guardian Angels
are

volunteers who provide public safety and education in our neighborhood streets our schools and cyberspace.

We include successful professionals as well as young people on the rebound.

We are from the inner-city the suburbs and even the countryside.

We are men and women and young people from all colors and backgrounds.

We all work towards a universal goal that everyone has the right and deserves to be safe.

Curtis Sliwa is a pioneer who forged his grassroots activism into a global vocation. Over the past three decades, Curtis Sliwa's programs and initiatives have been recognized by Presidents and Prime Ministers, Governors, Senators and Mayors, as well as by leading businessmen, veterans groups and many other associations.

Robert "Recon" Hanse
Chapter Leader

 Robert is an avid outdoorsman, and enjoys camping, hunting, fishing, and traveling. His favorite pastime is playing paintball a sport he dearly loves. "Show compassion, caring, and respect for your fellow man and treat them as equals." is Robert's motto. As a certified professional rescuer and with a strong background in the medical field, Robert's skills are a definite asset to the community.
It takes all kinds of people to create a powerful force - our volunteers bring many talents and skills to bear in the community.

Cindy "Spitfire" Hanse

Spitfire is a very caring and compassionate individual that is always giving to others, whatever the need may be. Spitfire also is not afraid to speak up and state her opinion when it comes to issues that concern her or affects the community (hence the nickname). She is a strong child protection advocate - her motto is "Kids are our future and need to be protected." Spitfire enjoys being a full time housewife and grandmother and is often heard saying "Someone has to keep you all in line". Her energy and motivation are a major force in the chapter.

Jessica "BabyJ" Hanse

BabyJ is a very compassionate and caring individual that enjoys talking with teens and young adults. Her passion for guiding troubled youth provides paths for young people with drug problems, and she takes a lot of pride in the progress of her charges. Well-liked by everyone, BabyJ becomes a friend to all she meets.

Tracy "Giggles" Pauls

Giggles is one of the chapters newest recruits . She has a strong desire to help people and give back to the community . Although she is always smiling and trying to make others laugh, she does have a serious side . She spends most of her time as an in-home care provider and in her spare time enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

 Christina "DirtyBird" Running

 Christina joined the Angels back in 2007 and was recently deployed to Iraq as a helicopter mechanic. she is a Patrol Leader and recruiter for the local chapter.
